IKEA Etobicoke celebrates its 10th anniversary!
On Monday, October 17 at 9:00 a.m. IKEA Etobicoke welcomes members of the public and media to join us in celebrating 10 great years of shopping and community service. Doors open at 8 a.m. The public will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.
The store will be honoring co-workers who have been with IKEA for 10 years as well as thanking the community for its continued support. Don't miss the debut of IKEA Etobicoke's 10-year anniversary film – written and directed by co-workers!
Everyone is invited to join us at 9:30 a.m. for free breakfast and birthday cake.

Pub night with the Brits are always a fun and a relaxed way to network and have a good meal. There were attendees from the Sweden, Denmark, and Finland Chambers.

The SCCC was invited to take part in the Nordic Pavilion as an opportunity to widening the collaboration between Nordic Chambers of Commerce and Nordic Trade Councils in Toronto.
The Nordic Pavilion was organized by the Swedish Energy Agency, Nordic Innovation and the Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish Trade Councils. The Nordic Pavilion was attended by decision makers from all Nordic countries and showcased sustainable city concepts as well as individual companies, architects, designs, environmental technologies, renewable energy, innovative building solutions, ideas and innovations. We had great food, great beverages, loads of fun.....and accomplished some very exciting things for the Swedish Canadian Chamber. Pour into a saucepan : 1 bottle ordinary red wine and 1/2-1 dl schnapps (vodka, apricot brandy or whiskey - optional ) Add the following spices:
1 ginger root (whole), 2 pieces of stick cinnamon 1/2 tsp cardamon seed 6-8 cloves
Let sit for a while. Meanwhile prepare: 1 dl seedless raisons and 1/2 dl blanched almonds.
To serve, heat the Glogg, but
do not boil.
Pour it piping hot over raisons and almonds
in small mugs or glasses.
GOOD ALTERNATIVE TO DO YOUR OWN GLöGG, IS TO BUY THE GLöGG AT IKEA, SPICED AND READY TO MIX WITH RED WINE!

Almost 200 persons attended the networking evening. The fashion show was greatly appreciated by almost 200 guests attending the networking evening . On the runway fashion designs from Sweden, UK and Ukraine was shown.
